Please consider the details below to begin creating custom piece with us! After you submit your details, we'll email you at the email you've provided to start your consultation on the custom piece. Please note that it will be a process— depending on the complexity of your piece and if we’re going through a busy period, we will need a minimum of 3-4 weeks to make it.
At this time, we are also not able to work with customer supplied stones, metal, or pieces to be disassembled/re-made into something new. We also do not ship our pieces without the stones set (ie. to be set by a local jeweller). Thank you for your understanding! We can't wait to get started!
Here are the steps to begin your bespoke piece:
After we receive your details, we will first go over what you're looking for together and then we'll send you a PayPal invoice for a design and partial materials deposit. Once this has gone through, we will begin working on digital mock ups or sketches of your piece and send you the designs! When the deposit is received, it is non-refundable as we will have begun working on your piece and setting aside time for it.
After this, we'll get your feedback on the designs and make any changes necessary. From there we will get you quotes for the approximate pricing and confirm which design you'd like to go with. Once the design is confirmed we will begin working on your piece! If your piece requires us to secure a stone in a higher price range, we may request a second deposit for materials. We'll be hand-carving your piece from wax, casting, polishing it and stone setting in our Toronto studio.
When your piece is finished we'll be able to calculate the final cost and send you the Paypal invoice for the last portion before shipping! Please note that due to the nature of our hand-made to order custom pieces, we cannot accept returns.
*We’ve also been receiving a high volume of requests and we like to maintain our personal, detailed responses, design work and sourcing efforts for each one of your inquiries. Once your bespoke form has been submitted, we may have begun working on sourcing/calculating pricing and options to thoroughly answer your questions and we may need a few days to respond to your inquiry as we are a very, very small jewellery studio. Please note: Laurie Fleming Jewellery retains the rights to all designs. Pieces may be posted to social media or elsewhere and may be replicated by the designer for any usage.
If any sizing or additional adjustments must be made to the design after it's received, we will help you ship the piece back to us (please contact us for shipping details before shipping the piece back). The shipping, sizing and adjustment costs will be the responsibility of the customer.
