This listing is for an appraisal of a Laurie Fleming Jewellery piece. The appraisal will be performed by a third party, independent jewellery appraisal laboratory and conducted by a trained appraiser. Appraisals are sometimes necessary for insuring your jewellery.
Appraisals are delivered in the form of a hard copy document presented in a dossier. The appraisal will include information such as:
- Description of the piece
- Details of any stones included (including certification numbers, if applicable)
- Total gemstone weight
- Total weight of the piece
- Price of gold and/or platinum at the time of appraisal
- Photo of the piece
- Photo of the laser-engraved certification number, if applicable
- An estimated replacement value (in CAD if you are Canadian, USD if otherwise)
- The authenticity seal of the appraiser
Most appraisals take 3-4 weeks. If you need the appraisal more quickly, please contact us prior to placing your order. Please only purchase this listing if you are also purchasing the item you would like appraised at the same time; if you would like a third party appraisal for a piece that you've previously purchased (and has not shipped yet) or a piece that you already have in your possession, please email us.
All of our pieces are entirely hand crafted in our Toronto studio by our small, talented team. Laurie hand-carves every design; they are not 3D modelled on a computer and 3D printed— this includes our bespoke pieces. Each one is carved from wax, polished and stone-set by hand.
Every piece is highly considered at every angle and carved from wax to perfectly compliment the stones that will be set. We don’t use pre-fabricated, mass-produced settings made for fitting various stones and solder them on. Every setting is carved in-studio, in our signature style with special attention paid to how it will frame the stone and overall design, and how it will wear. Every small detail, down to our claw-shaped prongs, are shaped meticulously by hand.
